The Community Television Association aims to build a vibrant, well-resourced and effective Community Television sector on the island of Ireland. It is the representative body for Community Television and is incorporated as a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee. The CTA collectively co-ordinates research, development and Training projects.
The CTA aims to increase public understanding of the ethos and purpose of Community Television and to build the capacity of the Community Television sector.
The CTA also aims to influence the legal, policy and regulatory environment for Community Television in Ireland, and to collaborate with counterpart Community Media internationally.
CTA operates under the principles of the Community Television Charter.
